When Office97 was released I don't think it was possible to have it expand
to the 2g limit unless you were running NT4 and using NTFS which most
people weren't so I don't really fault the Office team for not thinking of
putting in a check for that. Heck I don't think we even had 3g drives in 97
did we?

The only group at MS that has ever impressed me was the original NT team,
and I really don't think there are many of them left anymore. If there are
it sure doesn't show.
