Hello, Bob;
01 Aug 04 13:40, Bob Lawrence wrote to Robert Bull:

Hardly! (or the Windies, but, ISTR it -was- Oz on that
occasion).

I think either the next Dr - Colin Baker, the burly one, no relation to the
one you don't like - had to have a scarf to start with.
BL> Aha! I think you may have hit on the real reason I thought Dr Who

If you were in your twenties at the time, they would have a certain appeal
:-) Was Ms. Peel Diana Rigg, or am I thinking of another series?
BL> What a strange mind you have. How do you segue from Alice to Bonny
BL> and Clyde?
I didn't, Radio 3 (BBC classical music network) did. They were looking at
composers who died in 1934 and then looked around a bit wider. No, I don't
know why they picked that year, unless maybe several composers happened to
fall off their twigs then.
BL> Not so great. Bonnie and Clyde were on J Edgar's most-wanted list,
BL> and I'm still trying to get my head around the idea of J Edgar Hoover

BL> least his Queen was mostly female.
Well... it was before drag queens were -officially- invented... ;-)
Regards,
Robert.
Just finished: BLOOD WORK by Michael Connelly. OK, but nowhere near as
good as THE BLACK ECHO.
Just finished: EARTHFASTS by William Mayne. A later book by one of the
UK's leading children's authors. Weak ending.
