Nope! Once it got grandfathered in to the program, it got a permanent
sticker on the thingy in front of the radiator cover, stating such...That
lucky devil...
Same as when I put an Accell coil in my Monte Carlo SS. It's got a tag on it
that sez it passes the CARB requirements to be allowed on the car.
Anytime you see an ad in a magazine that sez "not legal for use on pollution
controlled vehicles in California" it won't pass visual inspection and your
car won't pass smog. Most aftermarket manufacturers go through a lot of BS
and pay high bucks for the privelege of selling their stuff in California.
Now, if I could only figure out how to get CARB to let me put that 454 I've
got at the shop, in my IROC..:)
