MC> 1) The next president will be appointing Judges including 2 or 3
MC>Supreme Court judges. That will have a PROFOUND effect on gun owners
MC>and any firearms related contitutional issues.
Dole has voted for every nominee Clinton has come up with. If he is so
comfortable with the type of nominee's Clinton picks why do you think
his picks would be different? Dole has been showing you for years now
what he likes in a nominee.
Look, when a person buys red car after red car, there's a pretty clear
indication that they are going to buy another red car. Dole has voted
for red car after red car. Never expressing or showing any indication
for anything other then red cars. It's pretty clear that when allowed
to chose a car, he's going to chose a red car.
MC> 2) I belive Dole will do the right thing when in office.
MC>Everything he's doing now is done to get elected. He has to appease
MC>so many special interest groups that some toes are going to be
MC>stepped on, deal with it and look ahead.
I *am* looking ahead. That's why I can no longer vote for Dole. I had
throught perhaps he was a man of at least some principle. He's shown me
he is not. He is currently whoring as best he can to get votes.
What's pitifull is he's a stupid whore, as well as being a lousy lay.
He's losing votes instead of gaining them, and pissing everybody off.
You don't win elections by driving people away. But he just doesn't
seem to be able to understand this. If this is any indication of the
best he can do, I *damn* sure don't want something this stupid as my
president.
3) The most realistic
MC>"best" we can hope for now is a Rpublican Congress with a Republican
MC>President. I too, would love to see the Libertarians gain some ground
MC>but I just don't see it, yet. Therefore, I feel that a vote for
MC>anyone but Dole is a vote for Clinton and more gun control,
MC>particularly in the area of judicial appointments. -Mike
Sounds great and grand. But since the republican Congress hasn't
bothered to do _anything_ about gun control, except create more of it,
why on earth do you think it would suddenly work better with a
republican President? There's really no reason to think that, other
then a wish.
As for those nominations (since the president does _not_ make the
appointment); again, look at the record.
