Sounds like things could blow up or other nasty things could happen.

That's what they are doing here, having failed miserably for a
"planned community."  It's past fixing now immho.

Really, I've had conversations almost exactly like that, except for the
last lines.   Some developers want to do quality work but aren't
allowed to because of code restrictions and bad community input.  So you
end up with same size house on same size lots with same type roads and same
type restrictions.  If you love vanilla you're in luck.  Oh I could go on
but then that's why I don't do that stuff anymore.
