You should familiarize yourself with Windows INI files, then with Delphi's 
TIniFile class.  The biggest difference in them from what you're used to is 
that every item has a key name in front of it to identify it.  For example:
[DATA]
File=G:\COMMS\DATA\ADDRESS.DAT
                                ...Gary
--- GoldED 2.41
---------------
