Portability's a cool scene. Dig it!
FAG> Well, I've been learning C/C++ for seven months, and I've heard a lot
First, C and C++ are not the same thing. Many people lump them
together because they're so similar, but they are really quite
diferent.

FAG> Operative Systems, but I haven't found a program that is portable (or
Portability means that code can be compiled on as many systems, with
as many compiler implimentations, as possible. What this means is that
anyone with an understanding of the standard can understand the code,
incase someone has to maintain it or port it to another platform.
Suppose you want to write several versions of a program for diferent
platforms. Your code would need to be portable so it can easily be
ported from one platform to another. That's what the word "portable"
really means.
