Hey hey. Yo. Star Trek hires special authors to write books and if other 
people want to write they have to get it through "pocket books" or they'll 
have a hard time dealing with the agents to get through another publishing 
company.  "pocket books" don't care about anything else detail wise except 
they don't allow any made up sexual relationships between crew members :)
