Presumably, you're looking for a repairman because your gutters are leaking.
If
they're leaking because they're full of debris or dried leaves, you'll only
need to get someone to clean them out for you. If they're leaking through the
seams between sections of gutters, you may be able to extend their lives by
first making sure that the gutters are pitched correctly, and then resealing
the seams with asphalt roof cement. If they're leaking through holes in the
body of the gutter caused by rust or whatever, you might be able to extend
the
lives of the gutters by relining the bottoms of the inside of the gutters
with
tarred felt and roof cement. If the leakage is too extensive, the repair
probably wouldn't last very long, and it might be more to the point to
replace
them.
I think I'd start by asking my neighbors who it was that did their gutters
and
if they were satisfied with the work.
