I was talking about acoustic noise from my amplifiers, not
electrical noise. Nor acoustic noise from speakers that might be
connected to the amplifiers.

You could be right. I've had no experience with this. But
stranger things have happened.

Of course I am! Isn't that what this echo is all about, rising
above the common herd? ;-)

I would NEVER condescend to join them with all their erroneous
terminology, like having "cathode tubes" in their TVs, and
listening to "transistors".
