-> MP> JK> TK> Wow, no jail time what so ever. Let's see now, people who
-> attend MP> JK> TK> public schools end up in jail. That's too bad, because
it
-> seems MP> JK> TK> to me, that the majority of children in the United
States,
-> receive MP> JK> TK> public school educations, and only a small portion of
-> society MP> JK> TK> ever ends up in jail.
->
-> In this county at one time, around 50% of the older teenagers were not in
-> high school. How does one count that population which managed to end up
n
-> the local juvenile corrections establishment quite frequently?
->
By getting correct facts. Just because they were not in school, doesn't mean
they ended up in juvenille corrections facilities. Many of those teenagers
weren't attending school, so that they could work the fields on the family
farm.
-> Also, the glaring lack of education is rather evident among our prison
-> population as is the high incidence of alcoholism.
->
Maybe so, but that doesn't mean that the school system was bad. Isn't it
possible that society and poor parenting may have had a roll in their
downfall?
-> The local schools will not keep a kid if he or she becomes a behavior
-> problem or is on drugs. How does that fit into your statistics?
Why should the school system be responsible for this? Don't you think that
some of the responsibilty should be placed on the parents, or are you one of
those who feel that the government should be responsible for your childs
upbringing? I personally do not, the government has a hard enough time
rying
to get right what they are truly responible for.
