subject: Bread for the Masses

Hello Janis,

When you had to go to private Catholic School as a kid,
it kind of got ingrained in you Lol ... but really I like
eating the bread

Take care,
Janis

When I was a kid, I helped prepare the bread for the
local parish, and this was always done under supervision
of the priest, so that no unseen accidents would happen.

This was really not a difficult task, and easily carried
out by whichever group of boys were preparing the bread.

Being that the coming Sunday fell on March 17, me and a
few other boys had a brilliant idea. One of us decided
to call up the bishop, informing him that St. Patrick's
Day was coming up, and asked him for pemission to dye
the bread green. He liked the idea, so it was a definite
go. The wafers came out a pale shade of green, so they
were not really radically different from the normal white.

The mistake we made (remember, we were kids) was that
nobody bothered to tell the priest. He said the Mass,
then started handing out those communion wafers. But
he could tell something was not quite right. We tried
to explain that we had permission from the bishop, but
he still threw us out of the church anyway.

Thus ending my very brief career as an alter boy.
