Yes Matt, but you seem to have no teaching experience to speak as an authority about anything dealing with education. Yet you make statements about education that those of us who have been in education for years disagree with. Yet you blabber on about your "observations" and cite your college experiences and conversations with your professor dad as sufficient evidence that the things you say are true. Never mind that current educational research debunks your theories, you have seen it for yourself -- so you ignore the facts. If it happened to you it must occur everywhere and you make it the norm. Really Matt, you have suggested that 60 elementary students in a single classroom would be much easier than 60 college students. That is not ignorance on your part, it is stupidity. I saw many things, when I was a student in college, that I found disturbing. Many of the "discipline problems" you mention were, in my experience, dealing with college freshmen. Yet I saw many "freshmen" taking course work seriously. Still these "FEW" college freshmen did present a discipline challenge to the professors. But the numbers were small and no where near the picture you paint. So Matt, do you have teaching experience? Or do you just have student experience. If you are a professional educator then you may have something important to add to this echo. So tell us Matt, what do you do professionally? MS>CB> I took a few weeks away from the echo as we closed out the school MS>CB> year MS>CB> here and things got hectic for me. When I returned, I was MS>CB> surprised to MS>CB> see so many conference inhabitants debating with Matt again. It MS>CB> is a very interesting dilemma - is he really as ignorant of the MS>CB> educational MS>CB> system as he seems, or is he just baiting everyone?
