From: "Antti Kurenniemi" First things first: download SharpDevelop: http://www.icsharpcode.net/OpenSource/SD/ . It's a full C# IDE, and a pretty good one (not as feature rich as VS of course) - and of course free. You'll need a C# compiler, but that comes with the .NET SDK which is downloadable from MS: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=9B3A2CA6-3647-4070-9F4 1-A333C6B9181D&displaylang=en (version 1.1). VS.NET for C# is not very expensive, so if you get anywhere near having to do something "real", I'd recommend you to buy a copy.
