Hi Bill...
On 30 Mar 98 you wrote to Richard Brumbaugh...

BR> lickin' since Fall '93 and keeps on tickin' ..a friend acquired the
BR> mobile rig a month before its official introduction, has given it
BR> daily abuse by switching from personal vehicle to work vehicle and

I'd just as soon have the mobile rig, not for mobile, but to use as my
base station. I have a 13.8volt 8 amp supply. Even if I got the Hand
Held it would probably be used as a base and I'd put an amp on it.
I might go the Mobile model. I don't need any frills, just a good
front end.
BR> BTW, after acquiring your HT(s) you can purchase for $19.95 from
 BR> Battery-Tech or W&W Associates a battery pack (accepts 8 AA alkalyn
BR> or ni-cad) and has a built-in charge function -- you supply the
BR> wall wart.. and this will give you 12vdc input for a true 5 watt
 BR> output.
I copied your message to a file for future reference. Thanks,
