Granted.  And I don't mean to be hostile towards you...I guess it's just that 
I can see perfectly clear why the cop wanted the on/off switch, and the exact 
reasons it would be needed.  You obviosuly can't so let's leave it at 
that...thank goodness the cop who got the recorder rigged the way it was 
originally described has the forsight to see why it was needed from a safety, 
and evidence point of view.  I'd do the same thing and could give a good rats 
ass what some bottom feeding defence lawyer might infer or suggest...I've 
heard it all, and from the best of them...they'll infer and suggest it anyway 
so it's no big deal...
