This works fine for chlorine but doesn't do a thing for chloramines,
which wont evaporate out no matter how long you leave them sit.  You
have to use a water conditioner.  A lot of cities are using
chloramines now so it something to look into.
I do agree with your stance that too many chemicals are used in our
drinking water.
