I can add that 14000 years is a blink of an eye if we see along the 
Earth's geological scale. We still have permafrost remained from this event.

Another question - who warms whom? We see the increasing average 
temperature both in ocean waters and the atmosphere. Does oceans warm 
the atmosphere or the atmosphere warms the oceans?
