Maybe I'm wrong, but the size and length of the pop he got during the main
event promo seems to indicate that the unmasking angle, combined with the
"monstrous rampage" angle, helped get Kane more over with the crowd than
he has been for a while. Or maybe the whole arena chanting "Kane Kane Kane
Kane" was just my imagination.

I'm not sure if the brawl with Austin helped or hindered the development,
though.
