While I've tried most of them, nowadays I use htick (part of the husky tools). 
I use Linux, so as far as I've seen, it's the best one out there for my OS and 
setup currently. htick is available for Windows as well, and uses a fairly 
easy textfile configuration.

On the other hand, Since you're on Windows you could check out Allfix as well, 
which has a GUI configuration. But that's not available for Linux, so I ended 
up going the route I did.

But if you're going to start any kind of FDN or hatch out any files, Tick and 
Tinytic (which doesn't even have a hatching ability) are definitely not up to 
par with the above mentioned.
