A journalist friend was mumbling something recently, and we extended this
flanneling into talk about ?mythical hardware devices (for pressrooms in
corporate and .gov environments).  They would provide a kind of VPN-ish
login, allow receipt of the flack of the day, and eventually provide the
digital equivalent of the old audio mult-boxes at speechifying events. 
High-bandwith, with throttling and security alarms, would be givens.

Alcohol was consumed, and the discussion degenerated into how you could
integrate PayPal bribes into the mix.  But I'm curious.

I have no idea whether_anyone|who sells this stuff?  Anyone?
