Just saw an article in Bird Breeder which mentioned that zinc poisoning has 
been implicated in a lot of feather plucking.  Zinc can come from powder 
coated cages as well as from galvanized wire. 
So if you're having blood work done on a feather plucker, be sure to have the 
zinc levels checked.
