I would suggest using Windows 2000 or NT4 workstation instead of Win98
as long as its at least a PII class machine with either 64 or 128 MB.

If its a Pentium-1 class or only 32mb then you might have to use Win98
with either NetModem/16 or COM/IP... Or find a cheap used PII or PIII.
