Well, seems from what Jim tells me that my tags are getting
stripped; some sysops feel they waste space (though I didn't
know my local guy was one of them ).  Darn, & here
allll my mahhvelous works of tag art are going to waste.  
Anyhoo, the tag in question is one that goes (more or less) "Shane
Johnson, Ensign(j.g.) [And there was much rejoicing.]  The so-
called "Technical Journal" is some of Johnson's work, in which he
included the Completely Non-Existent rank of  "Ensign(j.g.)."
Since ensign itself *is* the _bottom_ rung on the commissioned
ossifer ranks, & since the rank structure is one of the simplest
basics of Trek, on seeing SJ act as a  Reputable Authority
one can't help but be reminded of Kirk's jibe to Cheekoov when he
opened his fat & more than a little inexperienced mouth: "Is the rest
of your history as faulty?" }}:)
