How true.....I think that may be at the crux of Glasser's Control 
Theory.  One of the best books on discipline I have found is _Positive_ 
_Classroom_ _Discipline_ by Fredric Jones.  He is a clinical 
psychologist from U.C.L.A He spent over 2 decades studying the 
socialization of children at home and in school.  Take care,
