Yup I made a mistake saying mod_asp & meant mod_mono.

I can not verify as to the seriousness of the sites he has running on
apache + mod_mono.

Never the less he seemed quite happy & the couple of web pages he
showed me looked mucho like jsp/servlets & with mucho the same response
times.
