We've got koi not goldfish and they are even worse! Terrible for waste, but 
lovely to keep.

Our current lot were about 25 pounds for 5, we've lost one though. When we 
get the pond we could spend as much as 5000 pounds for one koi (yes $10000) 
but we wouldn't spend more than about 200 pounds and that would have to be an 
exceptional fish and we've have to have won millions on the lottery. Normally 
we would pay about 50 to 100 pounds for a koi. 
BTW one pound = $1.68. My maths isn't up to converting prices tonight.
