George Harper gave up a long homer to Otis Nixon and said:

Baloney. While I can't speak for everyone, my anger has nothing to do with
the Braves and goes into the ALCS as well. I don't believe that it had
anything to do with the Braves losing and I'm only interested in seeing the
rules called as they are written.
GH> Face it folks, you groused about the Rockies beating the Braves in
Uh, just who HERE groused. I can tell you that it wasn't myself and I don't
remember Terry saying anything or even worrying about the Rockies.
GH> face of Ted and Bobby if the Braves had won the NLCS. Just goes to
GH> show, Ted's not the ONLY one who's willing to BUY a pennant...
Maybe you should stop your anti-Brave rhetoric and look at what they
"bought", George. The Braves groomed or traded away talent to get nearly all
their players. Maddux is their ONLY big time free agent acquisition. The
rest...
C - Doesn't matter - Farm hand.
1B - McGriff - Trade.
2B - Doesn't matter - Farm hand.
3B - Jones - Farm hand
SS - Blauser - Farm hand.
LF - Klesko - Farm hand.
CF - Lofton - Trade.
RF - Tucker - Trade.
SP - Maddux - Free agent.
SP - Glavine - Farm hand.
SP - Smoltz - Trade (Spent time in Braves' system).
SP - Neagle - Trade.
RP - Wohlers - Farm hand.
Nearly all their position players on the bench or their relief pitchers are
farm products. The Braves traded away a lot of quality to get the people that
they did trade for and spent most of their money on keeping their own players
and NOT acquiring other people's free agents.
