Your message finished off my day in grand style. I volunteered at the high
school after lunch. Spent lunch with a pigeon whom I love dearly. Took my
grandson to a quilt show after school and watched his face light up when he
recognised a pattern. Then went to my regular f2f meeting at which there
were two birthdays a 5 and a 7. It was a warm and loving meeting with some
pretty deep caring shares. I came home higher than a kite with joy and
happiness. Then, here you are, just when my back starts to become so sore
that it impinges on my consciousness (again) and I begin to worry about
getting out to meetings in the winter, reminding me that where and how I live
today is a zillion miles from day 1. As big Bruce used to say. "Look kiddo,
anything more than a roof and three squares is pure luxury.
Qwitcherbellyakin!" Why am I fretting over getting out to meetings in the
winter when it's warm today and - barring a power outage - this meeting is
always available. Thanks. I've saved your post for reading on downer days.
Hope your health gets better. Living in pain is not a good way to go.
Often my family reminds me that I have two alternatives. Live with the pain
or be worm doodoo. Puts it perspective eh? Well, I guess if we keep our
chins up, we'll get there.
