TM> RF> I am OK today and I am now sober for 11 months and I have SIP to
hank
TM> RF> for that. Would never have made it on my own. I am now back in the
TM>Congrats on the 11 months! The first year was so exciting for me,
TM>I learned so MUCH and just grew and grew. The changes that I went
TM>through were so profound and I was on a pink cloud for a really
TM>long time.
It is ironic that today I am going to the place sobriety first
started for me two years ago even though I did not get the message
completely then. My home group is taken our meeting to Columbia Pres.
Medical Center detox ward once a week That where I first started
thinking I had a problem since I wound up there.. It will be strange
walking in there sober for a change and bring the message of AA there. I
also hope that of once they see I was locked down in that ward and got
sober, it can be done.. It will be good for me to go back there as
I still have to keep places like that up front in my mind sometimes
when I get those crazy ideas about picking up a drink.
TM>Me too. But I fear that more and more people are leaving Fido and
TM>going to the Internet. I've attended a few of the chat meetings
TM>on the net but prefer these message bases to the chat rooms.
I also us the InterNet AA chat rooms, one in particular but I
will always keep these conferences running through my BBS.
