I stopped upgrading my copies of Windows when Microsoft introduced Product
Deactivation in Windows XP.

I drastically reduced the number of music CDs I buy (from 3 or 4 per week
to less than one every couple of months) when the record companies started
to sue their customers.

Never really bought movies in any meaningful quantity.

Now that Microsoft is beginning to think that they own my computer, and not
I, I doubt if I will ever buy another copy of Windows unless that policy
changes.
