Maybe you are familiar with the TV Series: "What We Do in the Shadows"? (1)

One of the main characters in that show is an "energy vampire" (2). Instead of
blood, they trive on sucking the mental energy out of others. My theory is that
TM is like that.

It's a bit like a Troll, but not exactly. The remedy however is the same: Don't
feed them with your energy! If they don't get fed, they will seek other
pastures.
