Hello everyone!
Sure is nice to have a place to talk bout birds. I have both a grey and a
pearl cockatiel. They are named Ceasar and Pearl. Ceasar was the first one I
got. I got him at about 14 weeks while Pearl is about 6 months old.
I wanted a pet - but couldn't have cats or dogs in my apartment - so I
settled on a bird - and am very happy I did. (Please tell me that a noisy
bird is a happy bird!)
Ceasar is very noisy. He will hang at the door of his cage and scream until I
open it up and take him out. He will either sit on my shoulder - or fly over
to the stereo and sing with the music. Pearl is a little more laid back and
mellow - but she still likes to be out of the cage. She will follow me around
the house. I have to put her back into the cage when I am doing dishes - as
she thinks it is her own little pool.
These are very strage birds - cockatiels. But these two have become part of
the family.
What I would like to do is "poty train" them. I heard it can be done so am
willing to try anything. Thoughts and ideas are welcome.
