The new 1997 catalog is available NOW. The top-end hand-held
scanners with triple conversion ( PRO-26, PRO-60, PRO-62 ) remain
unchanged. The PRO-2042 base/mobile also remains unchanged. Radio Shack
does have "new" scanners but they did not release any hand-held nor
base/mobile scanners that go beyond LAST YEARS PRO-26 and the PRO-2042
SCANNERS.
There is a new base/mobile 200 channel scanner (PRO-2045) which offers a
CTTS tone squelch option board. The PRO-63 is a new 100 channel
hand-held scanner similar to UNIDEN  Sportcat 150 scanner.
I was told that this year Radio Shack is giving the 1997 catalog out
FREE to anyone that gives out their name and address to be entered in
the Radio Shack Computer system.
