The way Fidonet is going, I'd say any discussion is better than nothing.
I've gotten pretty easy on any off-topic discussions. Unless it is
disruptive, I don't see a problem at this point. It's become more like a
group of old friends discussing whatever they want rather than strictly
limited to science only.
