Today's been a remarkable and somewhat scary day for me. For weeks now I've

going to hit bottom really hard and lose everything because of my drinking.

        Self will run riot?  Been there done that!

noticed 
 KQ> a booklet  lying on the road. It was an AA directory, with the number of 
 KQ> this BBS on it. 
        That in my belief was your prayer answered.
 KQ> I may be a bit slow, but even I couldn't ignore this "coincidence." So 
now 
 KQ> I am trying to screw up the courage (humility?) to attend a meeting.
        It's only scary the first time.  Many of the people there have had 
        similar if not worse experiences.
 KQ> There's  so much I need to talk about and work through.
        Just take yourself to the meeting and introduce yourself.
        But remember to be willing to listen even more than you 
        are willing to speak.  It is through listening to others
        that we will learn how to stay off our road of distruction.
 
 KQ> But I can't let this opportunity slip by now -- I have a feeling that 
this 
 KQ> has got to be the turning point for me, or else ... 
        Lets hope so.
