{at}MSGID:
Sheridan: "The Shadow War is over. We won."

Really?

Sheridan and Delenn have just told the Shadows and the Vorlons to get
the hell out of their galaxy. That they refuse to choose either side
any longer. That maybe the right choice is not to choose at all.

And how does Sheridan live up to this decision not to choose at all?
The answer is that he doesn't.

Sheridan: "... we're riding in ... Anyone who wants to defect and join
us, fine. If they get in the way, we'll knock them down. If they kill
one of our ships, we'll kill three of theirs ... And God help anybody
who gets in our way."

This is the Shadow solution. War. Evolution through conflict. The same
old story of violence for violence. (G'Kar is the only major character
in the series to step outside the old ways of Vorlon and Shadow.)

There was the chance of a new age. But the truth is that Ivanova's
words from the third season apply to the whole of the story: "Babylon 5
was our last, best hope for peace. It failed."

They failed.
