Mmmm ... the last time I loaded vb for a fiddle was so involved 
and disc-hungry I don't feel like trying again on the off-chance.

Indeed,  I'm of the opinion that the current bloom of long, 
elaborate and verbose higher-generation languages from assembler 
bases is just a strategy to sop up student time, money and machine 
resources....
