Tom Clancy did a good job with Jack Ryan; they may have cribbed the
plot from him. After Clear and present Danger, Jack Ryan is director
of the NSA and becomes president after a terrorist attack during a
joint session of congress. The jack Ryan administration was pretty
entertaining.
