The Database Desktop that come with Delphi 3 has a system to specify
referential integrity for Paradox files, and it apparently generates a .VAL
file containing the integrity specification.
Is this file also used by the Paradox driver for Delphi 3, or is referential
integrity specified within the Database Desktop good only for internal use
in the desktop?
Does anybody have any comments on the general subject of referential
integrity in Delphi ? It seems to be a major shortcoming of Delphi, at least
for .DBF files in desktop use. The temptation to use .DBF is high because of
the unique portability of .DBF files.
