Strange. My 19 year old grandson has had two grandfathers who were from
families with a history of alcoholism, reports that if he takes two of the
tablets that Dr. Neher developed, he has no symptoms at all of ADD or ADHD.
I've also got all of the original research papers from the Blum etal research
and one of Dr. Nehers. Terry Neher is also a guest lecturer for Tacoma
Community College on his ideas on nutrition for addicts. My ex boss has just
taken one and reports that it was very worth while.
So, I think it depends upon just where the original learning comes from. And
the lousy "mental health" workers who refuse to sit on hard chairs and learn
anything at all about brain biochemistry are going to keep insisting that
there is no merit at all to any remedial diets.
On the other hand, the P.E.T. scans don't show any genetic changes in those
with that diagnosis alone. So perhaps this is all some enviornmental thing,
or perhaps it is actually part of something else that those who are not into
physical sciences miss completely.
You might try reading about the common link in all addictions in the Los
Angeles Times or the Seattle Times. That is, if you really want to help
folsk and not just defend a very old fashioned viewpoint.
