I would probably have said "demolished", "destroyed",
or "repaired a la 
Bloody Stupid Johnson" for all you Pratchettians out there.  "Hacked 
from here to Z'ha'dum."  Never did think much of folks who go out of 
their *way* to drag in an offensive term, then get all *upset* that 
people would see any reason to be offended and after all it's just those 
dreadful PC people trying to keep us real folks from talking in our 
natural rhythm.
