Nope, the Star Trek ENTERPRISE was named after the Aircraft carriers.
And it was known from the start the Enterprise Shuttle would not go into 
space.
Shuttle Enterprise waas named after Star Trek Enterprise, but it was going to 
be so anyway because MANY NASA folks are Trek viewers.
