Hello All!
One of our local Hams is looking for a good home for a
Yausu FT-200 tranceiver that is gathering dust. From what
he has told me the unit is in very nice condition, but he
has only been able to get output on 40m. There is also the
matching VFO that looks like it hasn't been out of the box.
He has the manual for the rig (not sure about the VFO), and
has replaced the tubes (broken bottles when he got it).
Operation covers Ham Bands from 1.5 - 29.0 Mc.
In proper operation the output should be around 100-110 watts
(aligned correctly with good tubes). Dial illumination has
dimmed (yellowed), but is still quite readable.
The rig was owned previously by an 11m enthusiast, so it's
entirely possible that the problem with xmit is nothing more
than mis-alignment (no promises :). The max out that's been
seen is apx 40w (like I say, on 40m only).
All REASONABLE offers will be considered, including trades.
Drop me a line here, or via netmail to 1:2003/0 and I'll pass
the message on to him (he's not connected :(... (yet)
Sincerely,
Bruce - kb6lwn@qsl.net - ck@saber.net
