DA>anyone ever heard of Park? Its supposed to be voiced by Marshall.
Park was actually made by Marshall waaaay back. It was pretty much the
same amp, I believe.
The name was brought back for some less expensive transistor amps.
They're decent for the money, but only if you like small transistor
amps.
>What about the Marshall valvestate stuff for those of us on a budget?
What about them? They're definitely cheaper that the new tube
Marshalls, but you're getting what you pay for (IN MY OPINION).
Your best bet is to go into a store are try out everything you can in
and out of your price range. This will give you an idea of what's out
there and how it sounds.
Who knows.. you might even like the Valvestates better then the tube
Marshalls. It all comes down to your ears. Make sure you get to crank
the amp a little - it doesn't sound the same at a tiny volume in a huge
store that it will onstage or at home.
Another thing to consider is the used market. There are plenty of used
Marshalls sitting out there, looking for good homes.
