"Greg Mayman" bravely wrote to "Mike Ross" (12 Sep 03 07:49:00) --- on the heady topic of "VEHICLE LED'S" GM> There is an amplifier in the fuzz box. Does a 9 volt battery move any appeciable amount of air to qualify? I think it would make more noise if you threw it hard at the sound bin! You're right, here I was thinking he meant something that could "blow a 50 amp fuse!" ;-) One must admit it leads to confusion to call a voltage gain stage an "amplifier" since that is usually meant to be a P.A. The difference being between the technical term and the colloquial usage. Clearly, in the technical sense, anything with any kind of gain is an amplifier. But for the average Joe, an amplifier is the heavy piece of equipment you connect speakers to. In any case, it was my fault since I misread what Jason wrote and replied to the misconstrued comment, even if he was mistaken to begin with but that's solved now... THE BARKHAUSEN EFFECT... YOU GET THAT, DOWN UNDER!?!?!? ;-) ;-) ;-) Mike **** ... Gender is irrelevant.
