Hmmm, so, someone uses a euphimised verion of an old engineering term, 
and that makes him a racist enemy of all right thinking persons 
everywhere...  Yep, the PC police have no lack of helpers here!

And, yes, the term does date back a long ways, when sharecroppers and 
other poor farmers would often have to repair and maintain equipment and 
facilites with little more than baling wire and ingenuity.  It describes 
a job that looks like heck, may not last long enough to get a good look 
at it, but does the job for now.  Hey, I'm an engineer, and have done my 
own share of 'Afro-Engineering' on projects that I am an expert!

I personally feel that anyone that goes to this great of lengths 
enforcing political correctness is both racist (in the 'methinks she 
doth protest too much' sense) and lacks a sense of humor...
