Maybe I should make a novelty set out of wood, with the pieces
based on characters found in children's books, such as -

The Wizard of Oz
Alice's Adventures In Wonderland
Through the Looking-Glass
Dr. Seuss

Although not really a children's book, characters from "Flatland"
could be used.  Or from "Sphereland" (the sequel to "Flatland").

And then there could be adult-oriented chess sets.
Or gender-specific chess sets.  Imagine a chess set
for women-only, with a dildo for a king...
