Dear Daryl:

Sorry, but I just got here - sort of speaking. My sincerest regrets for
your loss. Janice sounds like quite the personality, and it is my loss for
never knowing her.

I just wonder if we *all* tend to rationalize romance, to the extent that
we exclude ourselves from it. I'm not talking to criticize you, but to
analyze why I too have over thought opportunities in this subject, which I
wonder about what could have been, later. By the sounds of your writing,
and the emotions you invoke, you sound like a great catch, and maybe your
quick marriage would be one to buck the trends you wrote about. Naturally,
the right partner would be a help, but I concern myself with closing
opportunities where they might otherwise flourish.

I had a school chum, come to an untimely (...To us.) death, and she always
knew I wanted more from our friendship. We came from often different
worlds, and we both realized it wouldn't come to more, but that didn't stop
me from pondering the question to her. I too had a dream about her after I
learned of her death, where I was forced to say goodbye a final time. It
chokes me up today to write about it, but I think I take that experience to
foster new friendships, and pursue interests in romance when they appear.
Now, I still missed horribly since then, but maybe it is all a warm up to
get it right, at the right time, with the right woman.

Hey... I need a reason to wake up in the morning.

... If you chose not to decide, you still have made a choice!
