Hmm. The bios in this machine *does* support LBA mode, as well as a couple
of others. That's what's in there now, AAMOF, and the drive it's
supporting is this 1.2G that's 2000-some-odd cylinders, and there are no
special drivers or anything loaded.
Likewise I didn't have any problems with the 2+G SCSI drive that's in here,
once I told the Adaptec controller to do the translation, rather than
letting it operate raw. I suspect that I might have to re-do this, but if
necessary once I install the new drive I'll copy stuff off that one and re-do
it.

It's going to be an interesting experiment when I finally get around to it.
I forget how many cylinders this drive is spec'd as having, but the number
is *way* up there, way bigger than what I'm used to thinking of drive
numbers resembling.

I am referring to the dos/dv setup. The thing is, if I only have HPFS
partitions (to start with) and BM on the new drive, then the existing C:
_is_ going to be the first one that dos sees, isn't it?

Is there any advantage to doing so with BOOTOS2? Or is it just as easy to do
an install from scratch, once I get things partitioned?
